HAVOC for the Holidays: 23 Heartwarming and Heartbreaking Holiday Plays for Grown-Ups

The winter holidays can be "the most wonderful time of the year"... but they also can try your patience, test your relationships, and force uncomfortable truths into the open. This collection of 23 very short holiday plays developed by The CRY HAVOC Company embodies the company's mission to create "raw, provocative, humane" theater - even (perhaps especially!) when it comes to the holidays. They explore the joy, heartbreak, and anxieties that can go hand-in-hand with holiday celebration - from a pair of recently unemployed parents confronting the paltry pile of gifts under the tree, to a group of Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade balloons facing their potential obsolescence, to a couple preparing for their final Christmas with their families before announcing their divorce, to a dogwalker crashing her employer's New Year's Eve party seeking closure on the recent death of a loved one, and many more. Featuring plays by Julia Bilbao, Mélisa Breiner-Sanders, Annalisa Chamberlin, Will Clark, Sharon E. Cooper, Jennifer Curfman, Jim Fagan, Jerzy Gwiazdowski, Cavan Hallman, Ali Keller, Kitt Lavoie, Sydney Painter, Jennifer Reichert, and Katelin Wilcox
