The Glory Box is a story that spans more than a century and is told in four parts. Book I, Pineapple in Winter, begins with the convening of a special summit of the Confederation of The United Western Territories. The summit is led by Dr. Vytas Boyd, head of the astrophysics department. He begins by reminding the Confederation of the extinction level event that occurred 100 years ago, reshaping the world they live in.
