Sister: A Foster Care and Adoption Story

A young girl experiences both the joy and grief of building a family through fostering and adoption.

Helping your child manage hard emotions can be difficult when you're enduring those emotions as well.

Written by a mother of four whose journey inspired this heartwarming story, Sister is an homage to the families who step into the gap when children need a soft place to land, for a short time or forever.

Sister is a beautiful depiction of the nuanced truth and complex nature of fostering and adopting.

Illustrator, S.J. Winkler's masterful interpretation of the text of this story allows the reader to immerse themselves in this family's world and feel every emotion along with them.
