Mount has an Epiphany: Introducing James Mount, Bazzer McGavin and the Elliot Brothers

This first in a series featuring James Mount, nefarious criminals, tenacious police and a narcissistic ex-wife, will appeal to those who like to see the funny side of life even if it does involve crime.

Hapless ex-policeman James always blamed his lack of success on everyone else; however, some bad news acts as a final wake-up call to make his mark. But is he up to his new life? "Lie down with dogs and you get fleas," his doting mother used to say and James can feel trouble jumping off the criminals he's now chosen to mingle with. His deprecating dad called him a Nervous Nelly. His faithless ex-wife calls him a Billy No Mates. Will his bungling draw unwanted attention from his new "dodgy" mates and the police or will James finally man up before time runs out?

A reader calls the book 'A humorous mad cap romp.'

Another writes: 'Having developed one strong and fascinating principal character, the author spins a keen web of challenges and a cast of well-drawn characters that serve to introduce a fresh new series, set in England. Superb writing, related with considerable humor.'
