Duanaire: collected waterfords

A collection of over three-hundred waterfords penned by more than ninety poets from all around the world. The waterford, now frequently called "the Irish haiku" has become a global sensation. It is a positive poem of four lines, 8-4-4-8 syllables, the fourth line rhyming with the first, and the third line rhyming with the second. Deceptively simple.

The waterford's versatility is one of its great attractions, not only to read, but also to write. Only twenty-four syllables, and eight-hundred years younger than both the limerick and the haiku, the waterford is already finding its place. Duanaire is the first anthology of waterfords ever to be published.
