Almost Like Fate

He ruined her career. Now he's determined to destroy her life. From the grave.

Kate McCoy lives a solitary existence. Her only human connection is through her job, where she pretends to communicate with dead loved ones. She knows it's wrong, but she also knows loss and grief and wants to bring people closure. That is, until her neighbour, Preston, publicly calls her out as a fraud and ruins her career.

But when Preston dies unexpectedly, Kate finds herself able to communicate with him-and many other spirits-from the afterlife.

The spirits want Kate's help to get revenge on the people who wronged them in their lives, hoping it will help them move on, but Preston is determined to get revenge on Kate.

Overwhelmed by her new reality and craving normalcy, Kate seeks out the help of Preston's brother, Josh.

After a lot of convincing, Josh and Kate work together to help the spirits move on, but in the process, their relationship grows. As Kate digs deep into Preston's past, secrets come to light that threaten to upend her life... and her deep connection with Josh.
