Marvelous Land of Oz

A runaway boy. A magical land in rebellion. A journey filled with strange companions, astonishing transformations, and unexpected secrets.

Young Tip has spent his life under the control of the stern witch Mombi. When he creates a man with a pumpkin head as a joke, Mombi's magical Powder of Life unexpectedly brings the figure to life. Fearing the witch's anger, Tip escapes with his new companion, Jack Pumpkinhead, and sets out across the extraordinary Land of Oz. Along the way they encounter the wooden Saw-Horse, the magnificent Woggle-Bug, and old friends including the Scarecrow and Tin Woodman, just as the Emerald City is seized by General Jinjur and her rebellious Army of Revolt.

What begins as an escape soon becomes a struggle to restore order to Oz and uncover a mystery surrounding the kingdom's rightful ruler. Filled with enchanted creatures, magical inventions, humour, adventure, and one of the most surprising revelations in the Oz series, L. Frank Baum's The Marvellous Land of Oz is a delightful fantasy about friendship, identity, loyalty, and discovering that the truth about who we are may be stranger than anything we could have imagined.
