Dear daughter and friend,
I can help you understand right where you are during this desperate situation. How to be the real you, honor yourself, and learn simple wisdoms that can truly help you now, that will change your life. I have been there, and I desperately needed help. I lived it for a reason, that reason is to help you along the way. I may not be your mother or friend, but I want to be. This was written for you.
This book is not about abortion, rape, drugs, or depression, even though I write about mine. This book is not about right and wrong or politics, even though I share how your support person, and the sides can use gentleness and grace with you.
I know you are afraid; I know you want to keep this secret, and I know you are desperate, and you are frantic about what to do. The first thing I want you to do is to take a deep slow breath in through the nose and then out through the nose. I know this may sound silly; however, I learned this in yoga and meditation, and it is calming and peaceful. You are worthy and you are worth it. Now please take a deep breathe now. You can get through this, yes you can. I lived it, I healed from it, I learned from it, and I wrote it to help you.
