Reflections of the Light in the Holy Quran

Because the teachings of the Holy Qur'an guide humanity toward the source of happiness and true prosperity, and because God's commandments concerning morality and ethical conduct establish the foundation of human well-being in both individual and social life, the Qur'an also stands against personal darknesses such as selfishness, greed, and the worship of worldly desires, as well as social injustices such as oppression, discrimination, and injustice. It teaches humanity the path out of these darknesses, which lead to the misery and downfall of individuals and societies alike, so that all people may live in peace, dignity, and happiness under the great and life-giving teachings of the Qur'an.

Furthermore, since the Qur'an is a practical guide for life, and its recitation is the beginning of reflection and contemplation, we resolved, relying upon God Almighty and seeking His assistance, to explore various themes from the Holy Qur'an and, through its noble verses, become better acquainted with the exalted teachings of this sacred Book, draw closer to our Creator, and attain the perfection of knowledge and love.

As the Qur'an states:

"This is nothing less than a reminder to all the worlds."

Surah Sad, Verse 87
