This book holds the story of a little girl who made 'MUSIC HER FRIEND'.

Read along as we follow the life and musical adventures of Little Joycee from the moment she realised she just had to find a way to learn the piano.

Born in 1925, Little Joycee shares with you her story and some of the different styles of music she loved to play from the 1920s onwards, along with some great classical pieces.

As we look back in time, children with some adult guidance can research and listen to pieces shared by Little Joycee. You may also enjoy exploring the dance styles for some musical genres referred to throughout her story. I hope you have fun learning dances like the Charleston, the Swing and the Highland Fling and others you may find.

My magical wish is for Little Joycee's story to awaken musical appreciation, abilities and dreams in children, especially those who, like Little Joycee, may not come from a musical background.

Grown-up children may also like to remember or explore this bygone era.
