Skin Storiez 4th Edition

The Skin Storiez tattoo book series is a specialized, ongoing publication created by acclaimed photographer, director, and author Quar "QB" Brown. Known for its intimate look into the personal lives of entertainers, athletes, musical artists and models, the series goes beyond superficial tattoo imagery to explore the deep, personal narratives behind body art. Featuring high-quality photography and in-depth interviews, the books-including the forthcoming 4th Edition slated for 2026-provide a platform for subjects to share emotional, funny, and revealing stories.

Skin Storiez is characterized by its dedication to "telling the story behind the ink". It bridges the gap between commercial photography and documentary storytelling, capturing not just the art, but the wearer. The series is particularly noteworthy for its focus on 26 entertainers and celebrities, allowing them to be direct and open about their life experiences as represented by their tattoos.

The series is produced by Quar Brown, a music video director who brings a "lush, colorful," and vibrant visual aesthetic to the photographs. These visual elements, coupled with candid interviews, create a holistic look at modern tattoo culture.
