Macmillan: String Quartet No 3 Hps 1616 Study Score

(Boosey & Hawkes Scores/Books). Composed in 2007, this 25-minute work was commissioned by Southbank Centre for its Associate Artists, the Takacs Quartet. A major addition to the contemporary string quartet repertory, the San Francisco Chronical has commented that the work "operates at the boundary between the physical and the ethereal, between sounds and silence."
