Ultimate Forgiveness

When Centurion Herman Ulric Talovac follows the orders he was given, he finds himself slaughtering children in Bethlehem. Broken by his actions, he rededicates himself to a new deity, changing from the warrior Hercules to the more thoughtful Mithras...but it's still not enough to assuage his guilt.

Meanwhile, one child escaped the massacre in Bethlehem. His parents took him to Egypt until it was safe to return home to the Galilean town of Nazareth. As he grows, it becomes apparent that the strange things which happened around his birth were only the beginning of the destiny God had planned for him.

Ranging through multiple perspectives over the years of Jesus' life, Ultimate Forgiveness takes the reader back to first-century Palestine, where the Jewish inhabitants of the land chafed under Roman rule and longed for one of the many rebels trying to secure their freedom to be the promised Messiah. But Jesus had a different approach to freedom, and neither the Jewish nor the Roman authorities were ready for him.
