Another Day Without You

I draw my breath in pain to tell my story.

There is an empty chair at our dining room table, an empty seat on our living room couch, and an empty space in our queen size bed. The angels have taken home the love of my life, leaving my world full of heartache and pain. In this world there are heroes that come and go - God now has the only one I've ever known, but all her pain she got to leave it, now it's time to get her healing, for the only scars in heaven are on the hands that hold her now.

Being the one left behind I have become rudderless, burdened with overwhelming grief that clouds the mind, and on occasions languish from mental malfunctioning.

What to do, where to go, whom to turn to? Lost and lonely, living in a daze, no logic - only pain.

Existence becomes one day at a time, not caring about tomorrow, sometimes, most times, not caring if tomorrow never comes.
