Night and Day: A Selection of Poems and Art

Diurnal migrant to my love must bring

A melodious message this early spring

And to your own voice you must be true

Though others may try to imitate you.

A love song of devotion in display flight

At break of day rising or early night

To weld our lonely hearts as one

That we may rejoice in the eternal sun.

If in all this you will succeed,

Your mission will honour love's deed.
