What if The Beatles didn't exist? The film "Yesterday" examined that concept, and in this book, Beatles historians and fans David Bedford and Andrew Phillips do more than just examine that one question. They look at 70 key moments throughout the story of The Beatles and consider if Beatles history could have changed.

What if John and Paul had never met? What if The Beatles didn't go to Hamburg? What if Brian Epstein doesn't become their manager? What if Decca Records signs The Beatles and they never work with George Martin? What if Brian Epstein didn't die?

For each scenario, the authors look at each event in context and, using what we know, offer their opinion as to how Beatles history could have changed. Would things have stayed the same? Would it have been the end of the road for them? Would they have continued, but with a different outcome?
