Mata Mata turle pet

Mata Matas are some of the most fascinating turtles in the world. Famous for their bizarre appearance,

Mata Mata turtles look more like decaying leaves laying on the bottom of a small pond than they do turtles.

Mata Matas take camouflage to incredible lengths, and everything from their head shape to their tubercle-studded skin helps them to blend in with their environment in a way few other species can.

These remarkable animals can make very rewarding pets; but, as when caring for any pet, keepers must learn as much as possible about the biology, behavior and ecology of Mata Matas as possible.

This way, you can provide your pet with the highest quality of life possible. Begin this educational journey inside, by learning about these interesting turtles, their place in the world and how to provide them with an artificial habitat that meets their needs.
