London Bus: Volume 8

Packed with photographs, volume eight of The London Bus celebrates a great British icon, the red double-decker, that has been part of the fabric of London for over a century. This volume will focus on significant anniversaries.

It is 10 years since the New Routemaster first appeared and 70 years since the Round London Sightseeing Tour was launched.

We also mark 50 years since the RLH 'lowbridge' double-decker came out of service and go back 40 years to the opening of the Ash Grove bus garage. We also look at the attractions to be found at the revamped London Bus Museum.
