Sound of Jazz: 11 Pieces for Piano

Sheet music for solo piano.

The Sound of Jazz is a collection of contemporary piano compositions that explore jazz and jazz fusion through a dialogue with Iranian musical elements. The works focus on form, harmony, rhythm, and tonal colour, combining modern jazz language with melodic and structural features inspired by Iranian music.

The collection includes a range of solo piano pieces, from rhythmically driven jazz fusion works to more reflective compositions. Some pieces allow space for improvisation, while others follow clearly defined harmonic frameworks. The music is fully notated in greater detail than standard jazz lead sheets, making the collection suitable both for experienced jazz musicians and pianists exploring contemporary jazz-based repertoire.

This volume is intended for professional pianists, advanced students, composers, and performers interested in cross-cultural approaches to jazz composition and modern piano music.
