Both intimate and geographical, Selected Silesian Sonnets transforms trains, rivers, borders and winter cities into a meditation on solitude, love and cultural memory. Written from within the experience of travel and emotional exile, the poems move between Poland's historical weight and the fragile intimacy of everyday encounters.

Drawing on the atmosphere of Bruno Schulz, railway journeys, post-industrial landscapes and the haunted geography of Auschwitz, this collection presents Silesia not simply as a place, but as a state of transition - between countries, identities, languages and selves.
