Retribution Royale: The Untold Story of the 1946 Royal Windsor Jewels Heist

In 1946, Britain was still reeling from war when an audacious crime shook high society: the Duke and Duchess of Windsor's jewels-today worth over £22 million-vanished in a daring heist. At the heart of the scandal stood Leslie Holmes, war veteran turned jewel thief, driven by love, desperation, and a burning sense of betrayal.

Retribution Royale sweeps readers from the smoky dancehalls of pre-war London to the glittering salons of Wallis Simpson, tracing these two very different couples through the trials of WW2 until their fates collide in the most sensational robbery of the age. For Leslie and his fragile wife Gwen, survival came at a terrible cost. For Edward and Wallis, obsession and ambition ignited choices that shook the monarchy itself.

Told for the first time by Holmes's own granddaughter, this is the hidden story of passion, espionage, treachery, and revenge behind one of history's most enduring mysteries. But as the truth unfolds, one question remains: where are the stolen Windsor jewels?
