A terrifying truth

In the Iron Age, raiders plunder villages, and the Hawk Tribe and its druid, Abria, are blamed for the slaughter. Abria vows to prove her tribe's innocence. If she fails she faces her greatest fear: being sacrificed in a ritual favoured by tainted druids, to placate the vengeful gods.

Then, the past Abria thought she had escaped returns in the shape of her estranged sister, and the man Abria once thought she loved. Abria has seen little of either since the unexplained deaths of her parents. It was never discovered who was responsible for the deaths that drove Abria from her childhood home, and she realises she has to find out.

Fight for freedom or die

As the atrocities committed by the raiders increase, so does the pressure for Abria to be sacrificed. Can she succeed in the heart-stopping race to evade capture, stop the raiders, save her people, and discover the truth about her own turbulent past?
