Joseph Campbell, the great mythologist of the twentieth century, explored and interpreted the enduring patterns of myth - from the Hero's Journey to the many masks through which human experience is expressed. His work revealed the deeper meanings embedded in everyday life.

Frank Prem begins an ongoing poetic engagement with Campbell's ideas, drawing from a close reading of his essays and lectures. These poems do not explain so much as respond - shaping thought into a contemporary free verse conversation that invites reflection and participation.
