Go Run, Have Fun---Because Everyone Likes Fun

This is Book Five of the Penny Mouse Early Reader Series, and the fun with reading continues as Dyan brings us another book that is a great teaching tool as well as something parents, teachers and kids can all enjoy! Dyan believes in participation in reading, and these tried and true methods served her well in the classroom. As she incorporates the basic primary list words into her books, she fills them with cartoon like illustrations kids can copy and color for themselves, because they are so simple and kids find this easy to do. Kids should quickly be guessing what comes next and shouting out the words, and they should be encouraged to do so! The basis of this series is that each child can make of it what he or she wants to make of it, even to the point of creating their own little books, with their own special words. And this is the exact experience Dyan had when she introduced these particular concepts to the classroom. The Penny Mouse books were created in the classroom with some very real child participants. A former K-12 teacher, published in 'The Kindergartner, ' as well as in 'Instructor Magazine' and in 'Humpty Dumpty' children's magazine, and an award winning author, Dyan has put her expertise, love and knowledge of children to work in this delightful little series; and if you and your child begin at the beginning with the first Penny Mouse book, 'Sticks, ' your child will soon be reading and loving it! And teachers can amaze the parents and kids in their classrooms!
