First, I felt that keeping things simple, and limiting the study to the broad principles of Greek grammar, would be the best way for many students to get introduced to the language.
Second, most students of Greek (even pastors!) aren't going to use the language to any great extent. Their purpose will be primarily to help them understand particular passages in the Greek New Testament.
Learning New Testament Greek can be fun. By keeping to the broad, simple principles, we can keep that spirit of enjoyment - much of the New Testament really is this simple to work with.
