Is it only when you have to sign your contract or daily? I stayed in the classroom too long. I learned in year one or two that most teachers leave by year five. By year five I did want a change, desperately. New campus? Same problems. New district? Same problems. Charter school? Different, but still not working.

I applied online to EVERYTHING I saw, good for me or not. It got me nowhere. I was lost, confused, and frustrated. After seven years in the classroom, I did finally get my big break but because I had no guidance, no advice, no mentor, no coach, I struggled in my transition.

This guidebook has been a labor of love, and I'm glad to share it with you. I've been out of the classroom for 10 years now. I grew from entry-level roles into a corporate executive. My stories, my experiences, and being able to share what works and what doesn't make me excited for teachers who want a career change. who want to wake up every morning and live the life they desire, a life they deserve.
