Dust of a Future

Diane LeBlanc is the most generous of poets. She invites us in, invites us along, sharing her profound and keen attention to this world we share with her. This book is a rare and welcome gift. Each poem here is a precisely ground lens that allows us to see what we might not without their aid: the microscopic, the distances of space, the carrion beetle, the early pollen, the dark-eyed junco. These poems allow us to see in the ordinary the extraordinary, in the canny the uncanny, and in the mundane the miraculous. Even dust, ever-present, the from-which and the to-which we return, is made vivid and precious by the generosity of LeBlanc's scrutiny.
