Life faces threats of destruction by some who, though well-endowed intellectually, demonstrate fragmentation in their overall evolution, in that they are ignorant of or prejudiced against the spiritual dimension of the human being, thus displaying an ethic based on atheistic materialism, and failing to include the manifestations of life on its transcendent axis.

Blinded to that which transcends the physical realm, they focus entirely on the energy of sensory life, which include, at most, macroscopic and microscopic life; they are incapable of glimpsing life in its full power, beyond what the biological body perceives, even with the help of devices.
