ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Sandra Kleier is a registered nurse and a multiple-time sepsis survivor whose life was forever changed after septic shock nearly claimed her in 2013. Her repeated battles with sepsis, the long-term disabilities that followed, and the emotional toll of recovery inspired her to become a fierce advocate for survivors worldwide.

Today, Sandra serves as a facilitator for Sepsis Alliance Connect, where she leads support groups, educates healthcare professionals, and raises awareness of Post-Sepsis Syndrome and the challenges survivors face long after discharge. Her compassion, honesty, and wisdom have made her a trusted voice in the sepsis community.

Sandra lives in Kansas with her husband, Ron, her devoted caregiver throughout every hospitalization, and remains committed to ensuring no survivor ever feels alone on their journey to healing.
