To the One: Honest letters written to reflect, heal, and release

What you are about to read is probably unlike any other book you have read. God encouraged me to explore writing letters directly addressing the places, people, things, or events that have painfully affected me. In all honesty, I did not write these letters for anyone other than myself. It was not an easy task by any means. I was determined to be honest. I expressed myself with intention and transparency. Soon, I wrote letters addressing the pleasantly impactful experiences throughout my life as well. As I remained committed to the letter-writing activity, I began feeling a lightness in my heart. My mind was feeling more at ease. Peace began blooming more brightly in my soul. I noticed that the pain was subsiding as my wounds were healing more deeply. Gratitude was awakening within me again. Writing these letters gifted me the healing I knew I needed but was not expecting.

And now, here I am, sharing some of the most personal aspects of my life with you to encourage you to consider deepening your healing through letter writing, too. This activity furthered my healing and restoration journey. Maybe reading through my letters could inspire you to write your own. Yes, healing is God's work, while we must partner with Him by giving Him space to breathe new life into every part of our being and our relationships with others. May this book provide someone with the permission they were looking for in order to actively pursue freedom, wholeness, and a fresh perspective.
