Diamond D The One in a Million Girl

Diamond D got her nickname because she has a diamond-shaped birthmark on her cheek. Should she worry other children will make fun of her because she's "different?" Turning what could be a negative (bullying) into a positive (kindness), her very best friend Lucy sticks up for her when the other kids at their soccer game ask about it.

Based on a friend from the author's real life, Lulu Ferrari hopes her book reaches children's hearts to see how a simple act of kindness can express compassion and empathy for another, something much needed in the world today. Children will also see how fun it is to make new friends, and how to recognize when someone might need a friend, so they can be that person.
