Weathering: The New Protectorate Stories: Volume One: Book Three

Formerly published in the Fragile Beings collection.

Desire fogs the mind.

Elise Sasini, an intrepid reporter and weather witch, sets out to uncover the story of San Francisco's legendary sentient fog and gets a lot more than she bargained for. The mysterious elemental agrees to tell his story in exchange for a taste of the life - and the woman - he craves.

Cal came into the world as a disaster. Relegated to the shadows, he's watched the world pass him by for a century, his hunger for what others possess growing. Elise thinks the feral elemental needs protecting, but what he really needs is her, and he has no intention of letting her go.

This standalone novella features a fog elemental desperate for love, a deal, and the one woman in San Francisco determined enough to tame a force of nature.
