I Want To Be A Spelman Woman Because...

What if one book could inspire a young girl to dream bigger, believe in herself, and discover the power of a Spelman education?

I Want To Be A Spelman Woman Because... is an inspiring children's book that introduces young readers to the rich legacy, values, and excellence of Spelman College, the nation's oldest historically Black college for women.

Through engaging illustrations and inspiring examples, children will discover remarkable Spelman Women who have made a difference in education, business, medicine, law, government, the arts, entertainment, science, and countless other fields. As they learn about these trailblazers, they'll begin to imagine the incredible impact they can make in their own communities and the world.

Whether your daughter dreams of becoming a doctor, entrepreneur, teacher, engineer, scientist, artist, attorney, or community leader, this book encourages her to believe that with faith, education, perseverance, and hard work, her dreams are within reach.

Perfect for parents, grandparents, educators, mentors, churches, schools, libraries, and anyone who wants to inspire the next generation of confident, compassionate, and courageous young women.

This book is part of the Show Some HBCU Love(TM) Series, a national movement created to inspire children while supporting Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
