Last Days of Kirby Smith

After the death and destruction caused by two fierce armies during the Battle of Shiloh in the spring of 1862, the life of a young Confederate cavalry captain would never be the same.

While married to a lovely Mobile socialite, and with a mistress waiting in New Orleans, the man charged through far-away Yankee lines during the Civil War. His Mississippi plantation home would be looted and burned to the ground. He would survive the war only to cross into Mexico after Lee's surrender with General Edmund Kirby Smith and his troops to end up becoming a Confederate guerilla before fighting for Mexico's independence. He would never surrender.

A hundred and fifty years later, a television producer of an acclaimed network series bought a home with whispered secrets from a previous life. He found his true love again with his once enslaved mistress.

How his two lives from separate time lines converged, is of course known to the universe alone. Perhaps destiny is not bound by time.
