Holy Bible, Nrsvue: National Council of Churches Commemorative Edition

Celebrating 75 Years of the National Council of Churches

This special edition of the NRSVue Holy Bible commemorates the 75th anniversary of the National Council of the Churches of Christ in the USA. Serving as a leading voice of witness to the living Christ in the public square since 1950, the National Council of Churches (NCC) brings together 37 member communions and more than 30 million Christians in approximately 100,000 congregations in a common expression of God's love and promise of unity. The purpose of the NCC is to live as a community of denominations called by Christ to visible unity and sent forth in the Spirit to promote God's justice, peace, and the healing of the world.

Continuing the legacy of the NRSV, the New Revised Standard Version, Updated Edition (NRSVue) aims to faithfully serve the church in personal spiritual formation, in the liturgy, and in the academy. With revisions based on new textual evidence, historical insights, and linguistic precision, this updated edition delivers a translation of Scripture based on meticulous care for accuracy and readability.
