Annie's August Frolic

Annie Weaver thinks she has a boring life. Unfortunately, Aunt Bitsy is going to help her change all that.

Bitsy Weaver has four cats, three dozen beehives, and a heart for the downtrodden. She also has a habit of bending the rules in her Amish community. Now her step-granddaughter Annie needs Bitsy's help. Annie is bored out of her mind; bored of her too-big family, bored of her boring job, and especially bored of her reliable but boring boyfriend Mark Schmucker. Bitsy, with her blue hair and dangly earrings, is just the person to help Annie find the excitement she's always wanted.

Add a disastrous birthday party, an escaped snake, and a handy shotgun, and August will either be a complete catastrophe or the most exciting and romantic month ever.

But will the excitement be too much for Annie's fickle heart?
