What Ozzie Heard

Ozzie the Owl has the best hearing in school, which means that he sometimes hears things he shouldn't. One day, he overhears his strict teacher, Mrs. Allen, say she's been thinking about leaving. Excited, Ozzie rushes to tell his friends, and soon, the whole school is buzzing with rumors. But when Mrs. Allen shows up the next day, Ozzie realizes he didn't hear the whole story-she was only leaving for a short trip! Embarrassed, he learns that you should always get the facts before spreading news and that it's not polite to eavesdrop on private conversations.
