Author Robin Lapre is an animal advocate who speaks to students throughout Middle Tennessee on responsible pet care. She is also a physician who had the privilege of serving as a primary care doctor to our nation's veterans for ten years. This book ties together these two callings and explores the role that pets can play in our health and healing. As is typical of Lapre's writing, When I Came Home: A Cat and Her Soldier includes essential messages of responsible pet ownership that are woven throughout the pages.
