Handful of Quiet

In this novel of self-discovery Mark Green, a beginning teacher, struggles to find his way into his profession and then into a complicated marriage. He soon becomes immersed in the esoteric teachings of a charismatic guru who is conveying the teachings of Georgian mystic, Gurdjieff. Unintentionally, Mark finds himself pulled into the political chaos of the nineteen sixties. And, finally there is the search for "peace and quiet."
