Nyansa Classical Community Greek Mythology Stories: Year One Elementary Literature

Greek Mythology shaped literature. It was not only used by Greeks to share their own culture, but it was also seminal in shaping storytelling. The characters of Greek Mythology are found in many classic works, which include The Iliad and The Odyssey. Yet, what is most interesting is that these stories include themes that lead into the great conversation. Themes that cause the reader to wrestle with ideas of courage, justice, compassion, and more.

Nyansa Classical Community has taken these classical myths and reimagined them using diverse images. Our desire is to bring these stories to a new generation for students to enjoy and to cultivate the moral imagination.
