Lao Tzu: The way of Life

The Lao Tzu, in honor of Lao Tzu, is also known as The Tao Te Ching or The Dao De Jing. Dao is a profound, ineffable spirit that Lao Tzu sensed, yet it never spoke to him directly, so he named it Dao, One, Providence, or Fortune. De signifies achievement or accomplishment, and Jing means scripture. This work is regarded as the foundational scripture for achieving enlightenment through the Dao.
