Snowstorm: Police, Politics, and Cocaine

In a world infiltrated by cocaine and other powerful drugs, police officers work to curb the onslaught. How do they manage this seemingly impossible task? Snowstorm reveals how detectives put their lives on the line to win the drug battle, even when their actions challenge the politically popular or, worse, uncover illegal activity among the governing leaders.

Based upon his experience in a drug unit in the Southeast, Terry Sayre reveals the intricacies of controlling cocaine and other narcotics flooding the nation. Working carefully with insiders, navigating the politics of the moment, and making incriminating buys from dealers only too ready to kill to protect themselves, Snowstorm's detectives tenaciously follow through to win battle after battle. In the end, Sayre's story honors the work and dogged determination of officers in drug units across the country, making their cities, counties, and states safe for the law-abiding citizens.
