Anchor Load

Marla Vale built the system that killed a town. Ten years later, it's still waiting for her.

When a disgraced neuroscientist returns to the shuttered research plant that made her infamous, she tells herself it's only to look, to log data, to prove the ghosts are just bad code. The compound in her blood says otherwise. So does the dead man in the machine-and the way her memories glitch every time she sits in the chair.

Inside Cypress Vale, the power never really went off. Emergency lights still burn. Monitors still hum. And the experimental mesh that once mapped a human consciousness hasn't forgotten its favorite subject. Every time Marla straps into the chair, the plant wakes up a little more: Through EM fields, flickering gridlines, and the humming bones of Ashford Hollow itself. If she can't trust her own mind, or the system wired into it, she may not leave the valley with either.

Anchor Load is a dark, near-future techno-horror novel about a haunted power plant, a woman who can't stop going back to the machine that ruined her life, and the thin, electrified line between love, consent, and possession.

If you like Black Mirror-style nightmares, small poisoned towns, and mind-bending psychological horror that crawls under your skin and stays, you'll find a new obsession here. Fans of claustrophobic, slow-burning techno-horror-where reality, memory, and machinery blur-are invited to step inside Cypress Vale. Just don't touch the fence.
