Architects have a long history in creating much of society's notable infrastructure. They operate in the fulcrum that converts natural resources into the built environment. As we experience global environmental crises from natural resources depletion, pollution and climate change, the architect must now be a vigilant guardian of the judicious use of resources and its impacts on climate change. As an Elder, I believe it is both a privilege and a responsibility to offer my reflections to younger generations of architects and others about how to imagine and create a better world.
