Cindie Ambar lived a highly analytical, Type-A existence until her late 40's. At that time an accident brought her to her knees and led to the discovery of her life's purpose. As a human and animal energy healer and animal communicator, she discovered the true meaning of joy and healed her own personal trauma. On a whim, she offered pro bono healing and communication services to a big cat sanctuary in South Africa, with her friend and healing partner, Cathy O'Brien. While the cats were a bit unsure of them at first, she and Cathy have developed deep and loving relationships with these magnificent beings. The cats consider them one of their own.

This book is about their journey and their efforts to undo the harm that humans have perpetrated on these magnificent, sacred beings. The cats suggested that this book be written to bring attention to their plight, in the hopes that mankind takes this information to heart before they go the way of the Northern White Rhino-extinct.
