Dominion of the Lion

The Chinese insurgency, checked but not broken by Calvin Mayer's nationalist intervention, strikes back with a series of attacks that leave the American government powerless and leaderless. In the vacuum, a reckless president seizes control. Seeing a threat in Mayer, he orders the unthinkable to stop it and triggers a chain of events that could destroy the nation.

When catastrophe devastates China, Mayer is blamed for the staggering loss of life. To prevent the world from sliding into all-out war, he conceives a desperate gambit that could either save civilization or end it. His Disciples operate openly across the country, executing missions that blur the line between peacekeeping and conquest as Mayer's insidious AI virus transforms American society.

As Washington burns and alliances fracture, Vice President Sarah Cross, Mayer's former love and moral compass, resigns at his urging. The world turns to her for stability amid the chaos, even as she begins to question whether Mayer is the savior humanity needs or the devil it unknowingly embraced.

Dominion of the Lion is the shattering conclusion to the Along Came a Lion trilogy, a story of power, faith, and the peril of believing anyone can remake the world.
