I Teach: A Teacher's Handbook on Making Teaching a Profession Again

How can teachers adjust to the changing landscape in education? The simplistic constrictions of No Child Left Behind are gone, and the purported freedom of Common Core has arrived. But after two decades of being told what to teach and how to teach, is our nations teaching force prepared for an educational system that calls for teachers to think for themselves and work collaboratively, creating new systems of educating students? Can teachers again accept the premise that they really do have professional rights and responsibilities? Are new teachers being trained to be creative, collaborative professionals?
