An unjust criminal justice system turned HARDIS GAING into the gangster he is today, but it's his four children who keep him grounded. His two daughters are budding movie stars, his youngest son is a rising star on the drill music scene, and his namesake is a police detective who does everything in his power to keep his old man out of prison.

Things take a turn when Lorde Gaing's tour bus is riddled with bullets as he's leaving a St. Louis concert, and soon after Hard learns that the shooting was a direct result of his false arrest two decades prior. With his children doing well and his love life on track with the beautiful Tazera "Candy" Williams, Hard tries to do the right thing and avoid the violence, but his youngest boy isn't as forgiving.
