Born Again

Jeffrey Benfield's summertime internship with the journal "American Dogma" has him writing on Hare Krishna devotees in a small town. But as the manuscript materializes and tragedy unfolds, Jeffrey is led to confront his own spiritual insecurities, and, ultimately, the Kingdom of God itself-- again restored to the earth. Along the way, he receives insights from his friend Davis Holladay: a self-proclaimed, fun-loving atheist; Satya: a dedicated monk at the local ISKCON temple; and his own father, Rob Benfield: a pastor who remains haunted by disappointments in his past. Set in the stunning landscapes of North Florida, "Born Again" chronicles Jeffrey's spiritual awakening, and explores adversity, divine revelation, and faith. The novel features proper Sanskrit transliterations, including a glossary and pronunciation guide for those unfamiliar with Vedic terms and names.
