Echo-Mirror: Dubpoems of Klyde Broox

The long-awaited collection by much-loved dubpoet Klyde Broox, Echo-Mirror is a tour of his writings over his lifetime.

Rich with voice and song, the poems and essays within this collection are meant to be heard as much as read but still resound on the page. Broox took aim at the cultural politics of writing in English, at inequality and at other injustices, with sharp images and strong rhythms, but he also wrote movingly of family and those lost along the way. These are works that question the status quo, celebrate Black voices and are a call to action. The words in this book leap off the page into the reader's heart.
